A journey through the multiple faces of European music between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries: from Schubert's timeless elegance to Satie's disconcerting irony, from Respighi's symphonic visions to Ravel's swirling intoxication.

Russian visions
A journey through the Russian musical imagination, shaped by poetic vision, colour, storytelling and dance. From Arensky’s elegance to Rachmaninoff’s Fantaisie-tableaux, from Borodin’s celebrated Polovtsian Dances to the exhilarating vitality of Rachmaninoff’s Second Suite, the programme explores different yet deeply interconnected sound worlds. At its heart lies a fascination with music that continually pushes the two pianos beyond the boundaries of the instrument, evoking orchestral colours, landscapes, images and passions.
